Brief history of the artist

• 1928 Born in Tongyeong, South Gyeongsang province, Korea
• Majored in Department of Art Education at Dongkuk University
• 1970-1979 Won National Art Exhibition (Twice), Special Recognition (Six times)
• 1980-1981 His work was invited to exhibit at National Art Exhibition
• 1984 Acted as a judge at Kyungnam Art Competition
• 1985 "Members Exhibition at Chinese Art Association" Taiwan
• 1986 Exhibit at "Contemporary Art Exhibition of 100 Artists"
• 1988 Exhibit at "Korean Contemporary Art Competition" commemorating the 88 Olympic Games
• 1993 Exhibit at Seoul Art Center to celebrate the opening of museum. Exhibit at LA Korea Town in the U.S. in celebrating 20th year and invitation exhibition for LA congress.
• 1994 Exhibit at "Seoul International Art Festival" celebrating 600 years of Seoul government. Invited to exhibit at 「Invitation Exhibition of 7 artists」in LA Culture Center in the U.S.
• 1996 Chairman of Western Painting Branch Committee at Korea Art Competition "Invitation Exhibition of 100 Artists"(The Seoul Newspaper), "Korean Senior Painter Invitation Exhibition" (Seoul Municipal Art Center), "Contemporary Art Exhibition of Korea" invited by the India government "(Indo National Art Center)
