All naval battles except the Hansan Naval Battle was a Guerilla strategy that stage a surprised raid. The Hansan Naval Battle was an all-out-war between the two nations' key fleets such as a combined fleet of Jeoseon and an amphibious combined fleet of Japan and it was the decisive battle for the fate of Joseon and matter of victory or defeat for Japan.

Hansan Daecheop is praised as one the world greatest four naval battles and they are the Salamis Naval Battle which is the world first extensive scale naval battle that destroyed enormously powerful invaders of king XERXES, Persia by Themistocles commodore in BC 480, the Battle of Calais which Commodore Howard defeated an undefeatable fleet of Espana in 1588 and the Battle of Trafalgar that dissipate Napoleon's invasion to England thanks to destroy of the combined fleet of France and Spain by the commodore Nelson of England in 1805.

Hansan Daecheop by the admiral Yi Sun-sin is being evaluated as the best naval battle amongst the four famous world battles of the world by the naval battler experts of the world. The reason is because the battle of the Admiral Yi Sun-sin was carried out without much help of the country but brought a secession of victories and that the Japanese naval had a long stagnation period of nearly 300 years after they lost to Hansan naval battle, and without the admiral's victory, the Japanese annexation of Korea that took place in 1910 could have been established 300 years ago.
